And this is my super-late recap of Fanime! We had the whole family this year! (*´▽`*) Learning from the last two years, I made sure we didn't waste time volunteering for <$3/hour, and that we went to EVERYTHING that we wanted to go to. Aside from the usual, "I wish I took more pictures," or, "I WISH THAT FREAKING TAKUTO DIDN'T RUIN MY PHOTO WITH THE KIRABOSHI-DUDES," we managed to get to do the things we wanted to. :3 Woke up early Saturday morning to start dressing up (vocaloid). Ate and headed back to the con to check out artists alley/dealers hall. Accomplished our goal of taking purikura in cosplay, and we went and lined up for the Yuya Matsushita/FLOW concert. Matsushita looked so nice on stage! *____* But I doubt many people knew his songs though... It was especially depressing when the crowd started screamig, "FLOW FLOW FLOW!!!" seconds after he left the stage. Then the poor guy had to get back onstage to do his encore... D; *facepalm* Fanime MusicFest crowd -- you guys are SO FAIL. After the intermission, FLOW actually came on and the atmosphere shifted... They did a great job getting the crowd pumped! Everyone got out of their seats to fist-pump/scream throughout the concert. Second time seeing them, but I still have to say it was AWESOME. Sunday morning! No xxxHolic cosplay this year... Sophia wore her Asian-bang wig and could've been 1/million characters. Betty cosplayed Len in Meiko's outfit (... trap?! lolololol) and I wore my blue Marudashi wig with my loli dress. By the end of the day, I went around agreeing with strangers, "Yeah, Miku... right!" >___>;; We lined up early for the autograph sessions for Matsushita and FLOW. Thanks to Vivian, we managed to snap a photo we weren't supposed to take. This incredibly priceless picture is... priceless, LOL. JUST LOOK AT IT! Matsushita Yuya was totally giving me the "OMG, her hair is ridiculous"-look! XDDD As we were moving down the table getting out booklets signed at the FLOW signing, one of the band members notices my jittering and asks, "Are you okay? You're shaking!" O__O "Y-Yeah... I'm j-just nervous..." >___< I slide hand booklet to Koushi, who goes, "Nervous? Hahaha..." *signs booklet* *looks up at me* "Your hair is gorgeous." I... think that moment took a year off my life, HAHAHaHahaha... haha... ha. We went to the Masquerade and managed to see the Black and White Ball for the first time. It's like ANIME PROM, seriously. Except people aren't grinding up on each other, and some pros on the floor made everyone look like noobs, LOL. We met some cool people who joined us for Sophia's birthday dinner afterwards. Somehow we hung out in the game room until around 5AM playing Apples to Apples, Jenga Jumbling Towers, and truth or dare. After that, we headed to Starbucks and then back to the hotel to pack and register for Fanime 2012. Despite not buying anything this year, I HAD TONS OF FUN! We had so many pictures taken this year... which may have been due to the growing popularity of Vocaloids, or perhaps our addition of more family members. I hope '12 is a good year!! :) _________________________________________________________________ So a lot has happened since that last post. You know. Sun God Festival, finals, major-change, a boyfriend, the USUAL. Okay, so it's been over three months and I still giggle at the idea. >___>;; I'm totally mature. Yeah. Mmhmm. ANYWAY... Vivian and Ida came down to visit SD right after school ended. Went to the zoo w/ Vivian, David, and Yusuke. Ate out, shopped, watched stuff, BBQ-ed. And then, I was selected for jury duty... ... which I only went to for 2 days b/c Vivian got me sick ~___~;; More recently, Timmy, Tommy, and 2 of their friends drove down to SD for a visit. We went down to the beach, watched a sunset, had Korean BBQ... good stuff. :) I tried walking Meeboo... nyaaaaa~~~~ We only got to the bottom of the stairs before a car drove by and scared him... :< |
